By darkening red and absorbing green and green-blue, skin and lips are rendered in a more natural tone as seen by the eye. This makes the Hoya Green filter great for correcting skin tones, bringing out facial expressions in close-ups and emphasizing the feeling of liveliness. Although designed primarily for use with black-and-white film, this filter can be used with colour film to produce special color effects well suited to landscape photography because it enhances the green color of the leaves in flower or forest pictures
